Operations Chief Wanted for K 3 Surveillance Squadron

About the Position

The position of Operations Chief is located at the unit's surveillance squadron, which is organized under the Garrison Unit and functionally led by the K 3 Security Department. The Surveillance Squadron's task is to maintain public order and safety within the Karlsborg garrison, as well as to be responsible for operations against and surveillance of the Armed Forces' valuable objects and activities.

K 3 Surveillance Squadron is a multifaceted workplace. Here you have the opportunity to conduct activities that are in demand by the unit and take significant responsibility for the entire squadron's development.

Main Responsibilities

As Operations Chief, you will plan and lead patrols, surveillance, and operations against K 3's protected assets. The capabilities and personnel of the Surveillance Squadron are also requested by other units, and therefore there are sometimes opportunities for shorter assignments elsewhere in Sweden, where you will solve tasks together with personnel from other surveillance units. You will be functionally led in your work by the regiment's security department, with which you will have close contact.

Your employment will begin with an introductory period before you take up your position as Operations Chief. You should be prepared to undergo professional qualification training, which may also take place at other locations than in Karlsborg. In your position, you will be able to be assigned as a platoon leader at the Surveillance Squadron.

During the squadron's recurring training days, you are expected to plan and conduct training sessions with all employees of the squadron. These trainings are based on your qualifications and areas of responsibility and aim to maintain and increase the department's capabilities. This may involve weapons training, physical training, legal matters, or security services.

The position involves irregular working hours.
